Ooobie on Everything

Take a Walk on the Dark Side

Trump finally has caved to incessant pressure and bile from the left and destructive obstructionism from the GOP nabobs and is moving to the dark side for succor. He wants action and the only group in Congress willing to accommodate him are Democrats. For a price. The price apparently is to do everything the Democrats want, while shafting his voting base. His readiness to accede has earned him high praise from the Trump Haters, who want to see more such suicidal acts from the president, and pure fury from his base. The irony is that the Trump Haters will manage to use Trump’s capitulation against him before all is said and done. (“A man without principles!” and who can object?)

Trump’s latest perfidy is the betrayal on immigration. Who wants to send these wonderful people home? he asks us. My answer is I would, Mr. President. At some point the US has to convey vividly that it will enforce its border by saying no to the legalization of those who have come here illegally. Our government doesn’t know the difference between legal and illegal as far as I can tell. Our failure to articulate that difference has given an opening to groups like La Raza to erase the distinction entirely and assert a right for the illegals to live here, work here and even vote here (and vote they do).

Trump’s deal with Nancy and Chuck was a dirty one. It was done not only out of spite against Ryan and McConnell and all the other GOP elitists, but of course, out of conviction as conveyed to him by Ivanka and Jared. In return he took what the Dems offered, vague promises of support for future border security measures, the same old, same old. And Trump cavalierly tells us that the wall thing — it is nothing but patching up holes in whatever useless contrivances we have erected at present. The other wall thing, the one that actually is built and secures our border, that wall is in the future somewhere and apparently still at the mercy of the Democrats.

Trump seems to believe his own hype that we’d forgive him even if he shot a man while walking down Fifth Avenue. Here’s a news flash: I won’t. And for me his imperious action on DACA and his back-door deals are the equivalent of cold-blooded murder.

Instead of trying to relaunch as a fervent DACA supporter, Trump should be calling out the chest-thumping Latino governments for refusing to welcome home and assist these brilliant, good, talented, persecuted and saintly youths. These “kids,” many of them, are now adults, having been shipped out of Mexico wholesale in an earlier immigration inundation with the encouragement of one corrupt Mexican government or another. Today many have the skills or education that will enable them not only to function, but succeed in their home country. They already speak the lingo, they know the culture, and their presence will bolster Mexico’s middle class as a whole. Mexico could do with a good dose of middle class conscience and work ethic. If I were Trump, I’d offer assistance for the relocation of these people in their home countries, whether Mexico or Peru. I applaud the growing number of “Dreamers” who have come to the same conclusion. Trump should be on this, but his governance so far lacks imagination and direction.

What galls most, of course, is the lack of honor Trump is showing. I’m tired of policy decisions based on his mood or his umbrage level and not on practicalities and realities. I say that even knowing that the GOP Congress deserves the treatment it is getting for being obstructionist and unproductive to an extreme, squandering its few remaining moments of “total power” to do nothing at all. But Trump made promises, not a lot but very specific ones, and on the basis of those promises he won his election. Immigration reform and a wall were one promise, and a  new direction in US foreign policy away from interventionism and regime change and toward constructive cooperation was another.

Instead of mending fences with Russia, Trump now thumbs his nose at the country and its leader. Why? Because each new senseless act to insult Russia or “punish it” gets the anti-Trump maniacs briefly, for one instant, off his back. There seems to be little consideration given to the wider implications of his actions and policies; everything is transitory and reactive. In Syria, after calling off CIA assistance to an assorted group of terrorists, Trump has given his blessings to continued meddling. Having failed to stop the Syrian government, with Russian military assistance, from reasserting control over wider and wider areas of the country, now we are seeking to carve off a piece of the country to create a state of Kurdistan that some, and especially the Turks, see as a threat to their own security.

Meanwhile, over at State, Tillerson is being advised by the same nincompoops who advised Obama. The USG expelled Russian diplomats for alleged intervention in US politics. This led to a retaliatory expulsion of many, many more US diplomats from Russia (and don’t you wonder why we have so many there?). The State Department judged Russia’s action “unwarranted” and tore up the Vienna Diplomatic Convention in response. The FBI used Gestapo tactics against Russian diplomats in San Francisco, where the latter were given just 48 hours to vacate their homes so that they could be searched top to bottom. The Consulate was given similar treatment in the wake of its ordered closure, and the smoke from the chimneys indicated the frenzied destruction of protected diplomatic communications to prevent them from becoming FBI toilet paper. Agents also seized Russian-owned properties used as recreation for their diplomats and staff. This is behavior even the KGB didn’t exhibit in the USSR — they at least had the decency to search our apartments when we were gone, without all the drama and terror. And when the US Embassy once suffered a fire during the Cold War years, the US was very concerned about even Soviet firemen entering the building! Where will it all end?

So there stands Donald Trump, angry at everybody in the whole world and determined to get something done, no matter how traitorous or counterproductive or dangerous it is. He is being guided by people who step by step are teaching him that wrong decisions beget a negative response from the Dark State, and right decisions get praised. Most importantly, by not caring what he gets, he can make deals day and night with the Democrats.

Oh, for heaven’s sake. Now it’s the rage in America to march against freedom of speech

I have tried mightily not to return to the pages of this blog. Frankly, it was all boringly repetitive. How many times can you say that the Russia story is bogus, made up for political goals, and provide clues, before you decide nobody in this country cares? It is far easier to write off the disastrous Clinton campaign to treachery than it is to accept that you boobs on the left chose a lemon for your honey. I was bored with the deliberately provoked angst over Ernst Blofeld aka Vladimir Putin trying to take over the world. I never found a convincing answer to the question: how can Russia be so third-rate and so first-rate at the same time? I never heard an answer of any kind to “where is the proof that Russia did any of the things you accuse it of?” and certainly not to the question, “where did Russia change any election results in any precinct in the country?” I got tired of asking. The left-provoked hysteria made the American air rancid, like bad breath. I decided I’d let Judicial Watch do the digging and asking for me.

I was (and am!) tired of the women in this country, who have all the opportunities a woman could want and are still whining because the country didn’t hand them the presidency. They feel offended, and I’m offended by their offense. I’d say taking their side and my side together, every woman in America is now offended by something. And as an aside, I was really tired of women who marched so jolly wearing a knit hat said to be a pussy, but which looked nothing like any definition of the word. The very idea of such an antic points to the essentially juvenile nature of the left and its useful fools.

I am tired of the men who aren’t men at all, but think it is okay to be a “little gay.” Although gay is so tame. Who cares about gay? Today we have women who mutilate themselves by taking male hormones, cutting off their breasts and hanging on to the other stuff, and no doubt many “men” as well. As Cher’s benighted daughter said, she wasn’t giving up her fun as a woman just because she wants to be a man. No real commitment there, if you ask me.  I have seen two stories in which such a creature has given birth after “becoming” male. Think of that poor child. In any humane state, such critters would be sterilized at the same time as their sex change operation, even if only partial. This will prevent any poor child from being conceived by such people. Who is paying for all this medical experimentation? When I was young, insurance companies would not even pay for infertility treatments for women!

I am tired of the suffocating hypocrisy of the left, on all matters, but Charlottesville and Boston come to mind. I remain floored that 15000 people came out and marched against freedom of speech. That’s the flat truth of the matter, no matter how the media gussies it up. The licensed demonstrators put out a list of “rules” in advance that stated their goal of giving support to the First Amendment and advised that demonstrators were not to bring any  type of arm or carry  any type of hate paraphernalia, not to provoke or be provoked, etc. So as not to invade the safe space of all those Boston folks so afraid of free speech, I guess. In any case, people were riled up that there was still somebody not cowed enough to shut up about free speech, which everybody knows is just a code name for racism, insensitivity, cultural buffoonery, ignorance, homophobia, and so on. This thus required a mob of 15000 to show those licensed demonstrators who was boss and warn they better shut up. And guess what? The licensed demonstrators were frightened by the mob and left, taking Freedom of Speech with them.

Oh, yes, Boston and its famed university are well down that slippery slope to irrelevance and even treachery to the US Constitution. Go Sox!

Meantime, those wise men who made our country great, and led great conflicts at risk of life, but who were not lucky enough to be born in the 21st c. with its cultural nuances and deep morality, are having their statues torn down (as if Thomas Jefferson gives a fuck). And pulled down by people who look like potential deportees or escaped criminals, who have zero understanding of US history or our cultural values (or those that were). Our history is to be rewritten by idiots.

What really rankles most is the creeps we somehow elected to the US Congress when they were posing as conservatives– where the hell does Rubio get off saying it’s all right to use violence against people whose messages you don’t like? Viva Fidel! He won’t be getting my vote or my measly ten bucks this next time. He can go home to Cuba, which I understand is now a free country or what he might accept as such. And Jeff Flake — elected on a wave of Tea Party support and now turned full scale progressive. Open borders (and strong backs!). Tell us Jeff Flake — what did you do for Arizona lately? You didn’t produce a health-care bill, did you? Or tax reform? But you found time to carry on a tirade against the President. I hope you don’t make it through the next Arizona primary and if you do, that you lose your seat. I’d rather an honest communist sitting in Congress than a false friend such as you.

Now we can come to the source of many of my frustrations, the President himself. I must say, even when I was harsh toward him, I was hopeful that the dynamism that made him successful in business would translate to the presidency. I am skeptical. And I am skeptical despite granting that on certain things he has fulfilled his campaign pledges or is  making progress to that end, and that his policies have actually worked (and will in time develop their own problems, as always will happen). Look at the drop in illegal immigration, which is making business scream in pain and leave advisory councils by the dozens. (How about an actual law to let workers sans families in to fill those empty spots and earn some money?)

I think Kelly has put an end to the harmful leaks, but he seems to be killing diversity of thought in the process. Steve Bannon’s departure is really, as Bannon himself said, the end of the “MAGA” period of Trump’s presidency. Slowly but surely Trump is being herded into the smooth notch where all the interests of the Elite and the Dark State meet. He is still resistant on the foreign war bit, but give his enemies (and ours) time.

If all Trump is doing is bringing some order to his policy-making process, then well and good. I said from the start that Trump had better be prepared to deal with all the variant outlooks he was putting on his staff and Cabinet, and he was certainly not prepared or able to do so. So Kelly’s iron fist is good, for now. On the other hand, I also see an emerging pattern in which all the conservatives are herded out of the White House and its environs to give place to those minions of the Deep State who never gave up occupancy. If that is the case, then I’m with Bannon — we have a war on to save the ideas that were behind Trump’s win; all we lack is a leader.

Trump Sucks Up to Mad Man McCain

Let me open with this announcement: I don’t believe that Assad (much less Russia) carried out a chemical weapons (cw) attack in Syria. This was an act of provocation, with or without US involvement, that was carefully calculated to draw the response it did. I believe that this action was based on a judgment that Trump was a foreign affairs neophyte whom his domestic and other foes could push to a rash and poorly considered action to prove his boasts of toughness and his leadership. Faced with an endless and ugly barrage of fake news and false accusations, he fell for whatever he was being sold and grabbed the chance to assert himself as president.

This latest US violation of international law happened only days after the announcement by Trump’s highest reps that unseating Assad was not our primary goal in Syria. We wanted only to defeat ISIS and the jihadists. I thought, sanity prevails. But John McCain was beside himself, or outside himself, or wherever people beyond all utility hang out. I’ve heard he flew to Syria to consult with his tiny proxy army. If so, who knows what wise advice this old white guy gave to those “rebels” living in a complex of tunnels in the side of a mountain. All we know is soon afterwards, an attack by the Syrian Air Force occurred at the same time chemical weapons were released on the ground. (The US insists it was aerial release, but as former Ambassador to Syria Peter Ford said, “[there is] “no proof that the cause of the explosion was what they said it was” and that for Assad such an attack would be “totally self-defeating.”

Here’s what I do believe: Trump, tough guy in business, doesn’t have the political judgement of gravel outside of an appeal to the voters. He should have hung tight and continued to reject the Russian Fairy Tale in which the Witch, Vladimir Putin, gets the innocents (DNC and Clinton Campaign) into his ovens and then serves up Trump; he should have fought those who think the Russian Bogeyman can cover up the crimes of our political class. Instead we have had the recusal of Sessions (innocent of any crime or misbehavior whatsoever and with no earthly interest in helping Russia); the recusal of Nunes who revealed the heinous surveillance by Obama of political opponents; the removal of Bannon from the NSC; and the promise to work with the Dems to get some piece of crap supposedly better than the current piece of crap called Obamacare. Trump obviously isn’t getting politics. And frankly, I’m not getting him, either.

And now this incredible blunder and horrible crime. A nation not at war with the US, not even posing a threat to the US, is once again being assaulted by the United States. Why? I’ll venture this. Because Trump is getting all shook up over the assault he is being subjected to by our own Commies. He can’t fight internal enemies and external enemies, too, and external is easier. Obama promised to honor an idiotic red line, so Trump will make good on the promise. Precisely as his political enemies calculated. And now he gets his reward, in Pavlovian style, which is CNN opining that he’s finally president. All it took was the start of WWIII.

Trump would never erect a building without all the facts about the job. So how could it be that he committed an act of war on the basis of an unproven claim of responsibility? How could he fall for such a ruse by the enemy? If we end up at war with Russia, and China and Iran, will anybody remember it was the Democrats pushing him there?

But hold on. Let’s take a closer look and offer information on Syria from other sources that the USG will not give you.

“Russia’s defence ministry has argued that Syrian planes were destroying chemical weapons, not deploying them, and said the airstrikes targeted a rebel storage depot for toxins.”

Absurd, say the Americans.

“Khan Sheikhoun, where the attack happened was a hewn mountain with tunnels and impenetrable bunkers. Definitely a major hiding place for manufacturing weapon supplies for the Islamist rebels on a major scale. It is a “warehouse used to both produce and store shells containing toxic gas” as Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Major-General Igor Konashenkov said.”

Why aren’t the western media showing the photos that make clear this attack was on a military target, not a simple village living peacefully? And why is nobody looking at the opposition? Here is what UN rep Carla del Ponte said in 2013 about the results of the UN investigation into the use of cw in specific attacks in Syria:

Ms Del Ponte, a former Swiss attorney-general and prosecutor with the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), did not rule out the possibility that troops loyal to President Bashar al-Assad might also have used chemical weapons, but said further investigation was needed. “I was a little bit stupefied by the first indications we got… they were about the use of nerve gas by the opposition,” she said.

Ms. del Ponte’s seasoned judgment was spurned by “most western governments” who insisted it was all the work of the Assad government. The final report laid all the attacks at the government’s doorstep by insinuation without actually having the evidence to do so, as it admitted.

Today’s America seems to be hurtling toward some apocalyptic scenario of war abroad and at home. So far I lack any confidence that Trump will hold the line on his campaign promises for a new American foreign policy. So far it looks like he is so desperate to be loved that he plays the eager sap for the warmongers and the military-industrial complex. So far, I’m concerned he is going to take us to the brink of a massive conflict. Russia now and urgently is going to seriously beef up Syrian air defense systems with Russia’s latest hardware and technology, so the next time a jet flies over a Syrian airbase they will probably come down in flames. Then what will happen?

at last

Even as our friends on the left laughed and celebrated and threw their hats in the air, convinced that Trump was headed for impeachment as a traitor who stole the election, convinced he was a madman for impugning the honor of Barack Hussein Obama, a few brave people within the US Civil Service snuck out of the range of fire to report to California Representative Nunes on how in fact Trump was surveilled, or as the President said “wire-tapped.” How sweet it is.

When Trump made his accusation (and wouldn’t you like to know who really tipped him off?), prima donna James Comey flew to the press in a snit of righteousness to say he had asked the DOJ to issue a flat denial of anybody authorizing “wire-tapping” against the then president-elect or even candidate. Of course that was a pure technicality, which is another way of saying “lie.” Then Comey, with that pugnacious jaw thrust out, tried to finish off Trump by announcing that he and his campaign were under investigation for treason, i.e. collusion with the Russians to steal Hillary’s coronation, and had been since mid-2016. But Comey was oh, so coy about the issue of felonious leakers currently lurking within the USG. Seems maybe the FBI gives a damn; and maybe not. His goal was pretty clear, a chance to get even for Trump’s outrageous use of “outreach” to out the FBI.

Now we know that some unstated number of Trump allies and maybe even Trump himself were under surveillance under the Obama regime. Hence the leaks the Dems were hoping the rest of us would buy as “smoking guns” and just cause to remove Trump and install Hillary. Boy, Comey always comes up smelling like horse excrement.

Needless to say, the Democrats and their cronies in the press gasp about Rep. Nunes rushing to tell the Prez that he had been right after all. “You favor the president!” screamed Schiff. What Nunes should have said was, “and how about you? aren’t you actively opposing the president? this brings some balance.” But Nunes didn’t care and he did right. If he hadn’t outed the lie into the public domain, it would have “disappeared” like all those who ran afoul of the CIA in Latin America in the 40s and 50s and 60s and 70s and 80s and no doubt 90s (then I retired from the State Department).

I’m happy to find that my own judgment was correct, that there had of course been surveillance call it what you will against Trump and his allies. How else would you have had leaks of conversations? It wasn’t  magic, was it? And finally someone did indeed have the courage to buck the trend and end the silence about the massive abuse of Executive Branch powers by the Obama administration.

(Note: I’m listening to that purveyor of lies, Adam Schiff, tell us that Obama partisan Sally Yates is willing, yea frothing at the mouth, to come forward and defame Trump. Okay. Maybe not “defame Trump” literally, but in reality, yes. It’s tough being on defense, Adam.)

So here is the bottom line: the CIA probably planted electronic trace that allegedly led back to Russia to back up the Brennan/Clapper lie it was Russia and NOT Seth Rich of DNC dissidence fame who passed the evidence of DNC corruption to Wikileaks. Take a look at Zero Hedge  on this subject.  At a minimum, they had the capability to do so. (See Wikileaks.) They padded this bit of electronic “evidence” with the kind of scurrilous rumor-mongering that Brit ex-spy Steele was selling. Then their pals in the intel community either turned a blind eye to the lie of collusion and a “false election” (I’d guess Adm. Rogers…) or colluded actively in the lie. This happened as a result of the politicization of the civil service, which is supposed to be a totally neutral body. If not, you’d have people leaking top secret information to deep-six the opposition. Imagine.

I was trying to write about all this for weeks, but I kept discarding my drafts. I felt there was something else coming that would clarify the situation. What Nunes has brought forth, thanks to that heroic “deep throat¨ has indeed clarified the situation. Now others are stepping up to reveal what was going on under Obama to sabotage the Trump Administration. We are in a perilous state of governance in which our decisions are being shaped by false information

Trump sets his course

The inauguration, despite the very best efforts of the left, was hardly disrupted by the hate-Trumpers. Yes, they did wreak destruction on innocent business-persons with glass-front windows. Yes, they did get a chance to show us just how creepily diverse a bunch they are. But they didn’t convince us that our choice was wrong. On the contrary, watching them in action made all of us who support the President shudder with the close miss we had just experienced. The Election Deniers aren’t done yet. The very next day mobs of left-wing women gathered together in Washington to listen to hate speech and calls to violence from a bunch of Hollywood celebrities with a combined IQ of 75 and multiple stints in expensive loony-bins. Madonna led the spewers of bile with her dreams of blowing up the President. She is now reportedly being investigated for her incitement of violence. At the very least, I hope she gets escorted to FBI headquarters, one guy on each side, for a warning that her speech is not protected and that, should she continue such talk, a criminal case will be opened against her. Same should go for all the others on the left who think it’s not illegal to threaten to murder any Republican or disloyal Democrat, white, black or Hispanic, for nothing more than spite. These guys refuse to even consider a possible neutral position. As Lenin said, “He is who is not with us is against us.” These women get it.

Back to the marchers. They wore on their outraged heads inane little pink caps they knitted with their very own moral hands and called “pussies” (not, thankfully, anatomically correct). The adorable pussy outfits were accompanied by chants of childish angry slogans and expressions of cosmic unity and oneness among all women and the men in the crowd who also showed up as pussies. The ladies were up in arms that a man they dislike so much as they hate Trump could be president, and offered up a sea of fear and loathing for our amusement. Trump is now on notice that if he dares to declare abortion dead, he’ll be in trouble; or if he declares rape of women okay, he’s also gonna be in trouble. Likewise if he demands that all women immediately cease receiving any form of public assistance, Big Trouble awaits. If he opens internment camps for women, or tries to forcefully abort left-wing babies, just wait. Aside from all those warnings, they also tell us they want all their rights, which is a real head-scratcher. I think they think of “rights” as in “a right to engage in frequent irresponsible sexual encounters with or without birth control and to demand that other taxpayers pay for one’s birth control, STD treatments, abortions, or life-time costs for raising children born without the vaguest idea who their fathers were.” Those are what we call “aspirational” rights, i.e. the ones nobody can possibly guarantee. I’m really comforted to know that these women are out there, looking out for my interests. I’d like to know what rights I don’t have, too.

It’s hard for me to figure out if Trump is Hitler or Stalin, because the women frequently mentioned both Hitler and Vladimir Putin when dumping on our President (not theirs, of course). Trump is so bad, he could start his own world war.

I heard Trump’s  inaugural speech the first time only  in bits and pieces as I attended to other things, and it seemed a bit shallow. But when I heard the whole thing, I saw that it was an integral message and the message to the country’s leaders was clear. Take care of the people you represent. Stop enriching yourselves and blaming others for your failures. The time to stand up and take responsibility is today. We will no longer be in operation to take care of the elite. I think it was a fine message for a country that has grown a nearly autonomous government that barely recognizes the public as a significant consideration beyond election day.

Yes, this is populism. Yup, he’s thumbing his nose at the moneyed and powered elite, yeah, he is talking to regular Americans. Half the country hates him, but the other half feels like they finally found somebody who can cut through the lies and excuses. And it is the working middle class pillar of American stability who are liking the Trump populism, the people referenced in the terms vox populi and hoi polloi. (An aside: at the conclusion of the speech, the cameras panned and stopped on Bill Clinton’s beaming face as he applauded. Take a look for yourself. He is by nature a populist and you can see that he loved the energy of Trump’s populist declarations, the kind he himself had been trying to make for Hillary to the derision of her campaign gurus.)

I like Trump’s foreign policy message as well. Who needs a war when you can have peace? But at the same time, anybody who isn’t properly defended even as it defends everybody else is an idiot. So we will review our foreign policy script, which is incredibly bad, and see what must go and what should stay, and where changes are needed. We will decide that today’s enemies can be tomorrow’s allies, and that those we raised to great heights through free trade can be tomorrow’s enemies. We need flexibility instead of treaty constraints. We need to think first of our security, not Europe’s. They became rich socialist states because we bankrolled them by providing for their defense. That has to stop.

It is so refreshing to me to have that rank pro-war stench gone. The proponents of war against Russia and a NATO on steroids are still there and agitating. But their power was badly wounded with the Warrior Queen’s defeat. Unless somebody attacks us, we ought to just mind our own business and work on prosperity and security at home. The only real war I see is against the terrorists and we should make whatever alliance necessary for the purpose of defeating them. Beyond that, what I think is that war makes the rich richer. Peace raises the rest of us.

Finally, I think that Barron Trump is a very handsome kid who is going to wow the girls in a few more years. He seemed an eager learner and I wish him and all his family well. They need our best wishes to counter all the bad juju coming out of the left.

God preserve our Republic and our President.

Rogues in the Rogue State

He left out, “we lie.”

There are many people in this world who are celebrating as our country collapses around us, egged on toward civil war by the far left that now controls the Democrat party and most of our youth through the educational system. These proud socialists were deprived of what they think they deserved, and know they wanted — the election of that crook Hillary Clinton. They wanted and were thwarted from having enough time in power to change the whole US landscape and make it the new USSR. This transformation was to have been Obama’s real legacy. The Dems didn’t care if Clinton was a monstrosity of corruption, the voice of Goldman Sachs “for eight years,” dressed for free by Ralph Lauren, a hateful greedy woman who despised almost everybody and certainly Barack Obama, a manipulator and liar extraordinaire. So what if she was the dread One Percent? So what if she was selling US foreign policy? She was one of the People, much like  Princess Diana. She would do what the People needed done for them. She would move forward the Obama legacy. She would punish the Deplorables in first order. Reeducation. Deportation. Execution. Ridicule.

One Party. One State. One Mind. Heavenly images were wafting around in the marijuana fumes when, kaboom, reality smacked the brats right in their smug, rich faces, or smug poor ones (the latter being by far the majority and the ones supposedly helped by the policies of the former). And now the grief-stricken, many would say maniacal, losers, having rolled around on the floor, having broken up many a political event with their tantrums and screams of fury, and having held their breath until they were blue in the face and NOBODY CARED — these miserable spawn are going to make us sorry.

They’re going to make us sorry by setting up a means of never again allowing a day to go by without casting doubt at home and abroad about America’s…tenability. They will do this through select intelligence agencies and what we formerly called, tongue-in-cheek, mainstream media, a non-stop barrage of scandals directly involving Trump. Trump being handed stolen election by Putin. Trump romping with whores, Trump romping with Putin, and Trump’s and Putin’s RUSSIAN WHORES PISSING ON OBAMA AND BUBBA’s love sack in Moscow! The more salacious details came thanks to a British ex-spy named Steele, who initially offered his claims to the Never Trumpers and likely John McCain, who in fact went flying off, little legs pumping, to give them to his dear friend Comey. The FBI inexplicably added that piece of absolutely unverified and unlikely “raw intelligence” to their report on Russian hacking, and then somehow it was leaked to the press, who amazingly ran with the story regardless of its lack of credentials. BuzzFeed said it wanted to “Let the public decide.” What idiots. FBI dossiers on innocent and guilty all contain massive amounts of rumors, malice and innuendos, supplied by your office mates, ex-spouses, and neighbors, which is why the files are not open to the public, which is not allowed “to decide.”

Mr. Steele obviously was passing off literary trash as intel to rich western businesses wanting to trade with Russia, when he could have been making millions in Hollywood’s light porn industry. Instead, he is now in hiding. It adds a nice Jason Bourne-ish touch to the CIA ruse. The rumor is that the Brit thinks Putin will assassinate him. But personally, I think the lawyers and his clients are who he’s hiding from.

As another bit of bile, the Dems, also referred to as the “Disloyal Opposition,” are going after the FBI director, the OTHER reason Hillary Clinton turned up such a huge loser. The Dems will do as much damage to Comey as possible in the hope he will do the “patriotic” thing and resign or commit suicide from shame (à la Vince Foster). At a minimum, they can cook up an “impeachment” campaign that will dog Comey until the end of his term. This is nuts, since I too wanted to give Comey a kick in the ass for helping Hillary Clinton. How could both sides think Comey was against us?

(An aside: how on earth can the FBI seriously claim all these things relating to a hack of DNC servers when it was denied direct access to the DNC’s compromised servers? That was where all the conspiracy theory started, with claims from a private company that were never verified by any intelligence agency through direct examination. All the rest of the accusations spring from the initial “conclusion” that Russia hacked the DNC. As far as I’m concerned, it isn’t proven. Nothing they are claiming is proven. And worst of all it smells like special ops, black ops, lies and misdirection.)

So what is the overall picture? At home, the Dems have passed from mere annoyance with Wikileaks revelations (“recycled rumors that aren’t impacting Hillary’s polling numbers or her chances to be the next US president”) to claiming these revelations threw the election and were stolen and made public by none other than Arch Villain Vlad Putin. Everything to prove it can be found on the dark side of the CIA, which means it’s too secret for Americans to see.

Even worse, now we’re sending quite large troop contingents to Russia’s border, which is called “Poland’s border” in NATO-land. This is window-dressing to help the stupid American public realize how imperiled we are by ONE MAN — us and all the Europeans too.

And the end result — you can hear it starting already, only less tentative than ever: Donald Trump is not a legitimate president. Any action to keep him from the White House is justified.

Let me put it on the record here: if somebody tries to assassinate Trump, I’d put all of Hollywood under arrest. And then I’d build that wall going up around a house in Kalorama a little higher.

America, the Ridiculous

I write while the US of A is in mid-throes of anti-Russian madness. Russia, if the increasingly demented members of the US politocracy are to be believed, is the cause of every ill in the United States and the entire rest of the world that is not friends with VLADIMIR PUTIN (cue: Jaws music). The Russians caused Brexit, which nobody tumbled to until after the Russians got Donald Trump elected to the presidency, when the scales fell from their eyes and they saw pretty  much everywhere the hand of Satan, aka Vlad. The wicked Russian released ill-gotten information snatched (supposedly) straight from the Dems themselves. The stolen goods were rich with evidence of corruption and wrongdoing, ethnic contempt and contempt for Americans — and not one word of it was ever denied. But the culprit isn’t the corrupt nasty folks led by Hillary and Bill Clinton. No, the culprit is, of course, Russia. How dare Russia lift the veil on all that crime? If indeed Russia had anything to do with it, and there is precious little evidence of this claim.

This is the last act from the Theater of Brattiness best exemplified by its icon and champion, a man from nowhere with a lot of sly self-promotion but not a shred of depth or wisdom. He was the ultimate empty suit kept afloat by ego. I imagine he sails off (not too far! Kalorama!) to billions paid into a variety of secret accounts by such as Soros and Buffett. Maybe I’m wrong! Maybe I’m the only one who thinks he was a robot paid for by the elite to push globalization and even more unimaginable wealth for the unimaginably wealthy.

But by the way, even if we all know that the latest bit of buffoonery — the explusion of 35 Russian secret operatives and adding some more Russian institutions to the sanctions list — can be easily reversed by Trump (and should be), it all leaves a very nasty taste in Russian mouths. In particular as the USG once again fails to provide evidence to support very tendentious claims of Russian interference in foreign elections, and US elections at that. The US itself of course has carried out and continues to carry out dirty ops to influence foreign elections, up to and including illegal wars (aka “bombing campaigns”). Just ask a Ukrainian, any Latin American, an Iraqi, maybe a Libyan. So from the Russian point of view, it’s just more US bullshit ordered by the Clown Brigade.

From my point of view, as well. First of all, we have the fact that the indictment against Russia and against Putin himself appears to have sprung full-blown from the forehead of the CIA. This US Temple of Lies has concocted more false stories than all the top tabloids combined. And fantasies concocted not only for distribution abroad, or just to the US public at large. They concoct false stories for their own employees, by funneling lies from the operations side to the analytical side, backed up by “highly credible source” gold stars. Then their own analysts churn out finished analysis coming to exactly the right conclusion for getting policy action from State and other brain-dead agencies, as the CIA would think and speak of them.

So, here is the way it is: with no new information, unless it might be a suddenly discovered CIA asset with the very information they were seeking, the CIA reconsiders earlier conclusions, made when it was assumed the US public was going to hail the Queen. Back then, the intel community concluded that the Russians could not be proven to have been the hackers of the DNC or Podesta. They didn’t even mention Wikileaks. But suddenly the CIA believes it does in fact have the evidence, right there before one’s eyes, abracadabra. Now we know practically the patronymics of the hackers, where they come from, who was behind them, and what that Master of the Game was aiming to do. The CIA issued two photos of guys who look mushroomy enough for the technogeek world, but I’m not sure it convinces me of anything other than that. The false analysis grounded in false facts is shared with all the other agencies, some of them notorious dupes with the analytical skill of gravel, and others much sharper if not always ethical. The latter would include the FBI, which wasn’t buying the CIA story until, I imagine, gobs of pressure came down on them. (Here’s a suspicion: that the polit kommisars at CIA felt justified in a made-up story helpful to the Democrats because in their fevered imagination Comey and arch-enemy FBI were on Trump’s side and cost the Dems the election. Excuse me while I cough up a hair-ball.) Both Wikileaks and the self-identified intermediary between the DNC and Wikileaks deny all such charges, but what do they know? Obviously they are in on it with Vlad and the Reds.

And of course now we have the response to Congressional and public demands for the evidence behind the anti-Russian actions by the US president. What  has been provided is a much condensed version of far denser bull-shit that offers no substantial evidence of Russian hacking, much less a link to Wikileaks. Most damning of all, it is prefaced with a disclaimer that essentially says, nobody in the intelligence community believes a word of this malarkey and we’re not taking the fall for it, so read it at your own peril.

Meanwhile, Vlad the Impaler is having a merry old Christmas and New Year’s. He is so well-seated internationally that he can afford to scoff at the expulsion of Russian diplomats and hold his retaliatory hand pending arrival of a grown-up at the White House. He even invited US diplomatic children to a wonderful Christmas celebration party at the Kremlin. But he knows the USG won’t allow those little kids to attend, it would be a rejection of Obama’s snit. So one day instead of someone saying, “when I was little I went to a Kremlin Christmas party and met the president of Russia!” — they will say “I didn’t go to the Kremlin Christmas party or meet the president of Russia.”

It is good that the days of the Dark Emperor (and I’m imbuing that with a spiritual rather than epidermal significance) are drawing to their sickly close, although he threatens to raise his battalions for future battle. But for the moment, let me give thanks to God, again and again, for destroying the plans these people had for us and giving us a small opening to redeem this country.

Happy New Year to all!

The Party of Any Means to an End

I am astounded to watch Jill Stein deteriorate into a deranged woman, especially after running a losing but fairly rational campaign on issues close to her heart. Now she has become another Clinton stooge — the woman she said would start a nuclear war! — by trying somehow, in any way possible, to stop the inauguration of the president-elect and presumably install Hillary Clinton. When hell freezes over!

On that issue, my view is simple: electoral college votes, Trump wins, Wisconsin — busily re-voting the past election  — doesn’t get to participate.

Next I expect they will actually start assassinating electoral college voters so they have to be replaced, requiring some new election somewhere. Would Obama opine? Or is it a case where the Democrats could walk down the street and kill an Electoral College voter and nobody would care?

I ask you: what the hell happened to the Democrat Party? This used to be the party of serious liberal politicians, but Americans, who shared American, yes, American values. Today it is a collection of the sexually confused, the illegals, the terminally left-wing, and the spoiled rotten brats that the Millenia has spawned. Or really, we have spawned through our reluctance to fight for core values. We’d rather be fighting in somebody else’s country for our values.

Back to the Bizarre World of the Democrats. Where is Obama in this violence and effort to overturn democracy? He is again remarkably silent on a major issue (well, he did sort of egg it on with his advice not to be silent). I suggest that is because he is loving it and in the secrecy of his leftist cabal encouraging it and through his pals funding it. The Supreme Court come hell or high water or civil war! Obama would be more than okay with turning the US electoral system upside down and igniting national violence. His communist indoctrination as a child would make that a highly desirable goal. Nothing like re-configuring the voting system so only one party ever gets to lead.

And what about Hillary Clinton? Is she not the most ingracious and egotistical of all defeated presidential candidates? Her appearance begging for sympathy, what with the busted up cheek and eye, the haggard look of an alcoholic on a binge; her silence on both the Democrat-funded violence and the recount effort. We all know that she is sitting like a big fat white spider on some beam over our head, probably doing sacrifices of 9-month abortion victims to appease her political gods and return her to power. Egads, this woman was almost the president of the United States. She has no moral character, no strength of character. All that buoyed her was her greed and ambition. Now she has nothing left to covet. After eight years of Trump, she will be too old and senile to take any position, if she is still among the living; and she isn’t likely to become Trump’s roaming ambassador of good will, which would be a great way to make money on the side.

So we have nothing but silence about, don’t misconstrue it as encouragement of, the left-wing shenanigans we are being subjected to. Thankfully, I have the sense not to live in a blue state such as CA or OR, although the scenery is nice. There the long-suffering older generations are being feasted with emotional scenes and pure thuggery. This is what our future  leaders think you do when you (gasp) lose. These poorly educated and self-absorbed youth don’t have any concept of what it means to lose, having been reared within the padded walls of their left-wing indoctrination centers, once called “schools.” In these laboratories for the left, the kids aren’t given a solid foundation for life in the modern world, vicious as it is. It is mostly slogans and “actions,” and we all win!

In any  case, out there on the left coast these tree-huggers and utopianists are about to go for a ride as the west coast shears off north to south in one piece big enough to be declared the Republic of California. On the other hand, if you stay afloat you will end up Asian when you bump into China. But as a result of your apparently sovereign right to ignore immigration law, you’re well on the way to that in any event. I would be watching Japan with more than a little fear right now, Pacific ring of fire and all that. I’d be practicing Chinese.

And by the way, I absolutely would like to sign, just as a big supporter, the Calexit petition. I would also urge them to pursue another left-coast proposal, the building of a wall north to south to prevent the illicit entry of Americans into California or anywhere on the west coast. I would send in five dollars for that. I am a big fan of secession and think that the fighting of a war to prevent it was just stupid. Let’s not do it again. Let’s have a Velvet Divorce where we each share in the goodies and say good-bye. We’ll take all the guns and nukes off you, if you like — you’ll want that gun-free country you’re always talking about. You can have most of the university professors and school teachers, as well as union supporters, and don’t forget to take the ACLU! We’ll split the ports. We’ll split the states along red-blue lines or maybe we’ll have a mass population exodus if we just cut the country in half and say you get the left side, I get the right.

But I confess, the idea of a divorce really does appeal. We don’t share values or goals anymore and we really detest one another. That seems to be something we all can agree on.

Jigsaw Puzzles: The US Putting in the last Piece

I have been hammering away at this theme for a long time now and my instinct tells me we are near endgame (in so many ways). US “foreign policy strategists” have walked our government through the paces necessary to bring America to a point where we Americans might be duped into going for forced regime change in Syria. (For those growing up on Jupiter: this used to be called invasion and occupation). There was an essential miscalculation of timing here. Far too long passed between when our government began mulling over another war in Syria and the present, when our country’s entire complex of war hawks have congregated around the vile Mrs. Clinton like vultures. Into the abyss of opportunity lost fell our advantage. Russia saw the need, saw the challenge and took the chance. On all fronts, the signs are of WWIII, with an arrogant US demanding Russia and Syria and Iran kneel. It ain’t gonna happen. I’m not going to get into China and affronts to its power within its region. And then we come to “what next?”

Americans are afraid and they should be. Just imagine that every person we have killed by drone, direct invasion, proxies or bombs at 35,000 feet springs up into a family of 30 or 40 or 400 who wish the US active harm. That’s a lot of hate and revenge.

The Russians have a right to both fear and be mad at Islamist murderers, who not that ago took over an elementary school and murdered hundreds of persons in Russia. Then there was the jihadist take-over of the Moscow theater where the hit musical “North-West” was playing. In the house there were the young, the old, the rich, the poor, the good and the bad. When the Russians decided that the people wearing suicide bombs might be nearing the end of their physical resistance and the moment when the bombs would go off, the Russians used a gas to subdue them. Then they sent in their own Spec Ops teams to kill each and every terrorist, male and female, where they lay snoozing next to knocked-out hostages. Unfortunately, as a German doctor interviewed told one news outlet, in order to insure that not one adult terrorist survived to trigger a device, it was inevitable that those taking the theater would sacrifice the very young and the very old and ill. Russia had a hard choice to make and Russia made it. It always does.

The same thing happened in Syria, where Russia was not itching to get into a fight. But just as the rest of us did, the Russians wondered what the hell was going on when the US was inert in the face of growing ISIS power and control of territory. Why wasn’t the US, up to its eyeballs in the Syrian civil war, going after ISIS and its affiliates and those of Al Qaeda in that country? ISIS was stealing oil and shipping it through Turkey to finance its operations; Turkey did nothing. It got a commission. The US did  nothing. All they wanted was to weaken Assad. Screw the rest of the issues. It wasn’t until Russia made public the aerial footage of the oil convoys heading to the Turkish border that the US decided it had to act or tell the truth regarding its intentions. Today it brags how stalwart it is against ISIS. Believe it at your peril.

Now thanks to Mr. Assange (note for future historians: a genuine and early global political prisoner. end note.) and Wikileaks  we know that in 2006, our hero GW Bush was being advised by a lot of the same folks who are now advising Hillary Clinton on the subject of how to undermine Assad and the stability of Syria via sabotage, infiltration and subterfuge. The advisers have all been big shots in the USG and players in the military-industrial complex.

Anybody out there, if somebody tries to tell you Russia should be before a Human Rights Tribunal because of Syria, you refer them to that fact. It was the US that started the Syrian civil war for its own dirty purposes long before the visible results appeared. Russia is only there because the US is totally lost in its own corruption and unable to guide the world. The Russians are the single most important factor in the beating back of ISIS in Syria, in which the US has played chiefly a negative role through our arming and training and support of terrorists. “Alt-terror.”

So, here’s where we are. The US is getting tired of the upstart Russia, with Iranian help, blocking US power in Syria. It wants done. How will it do it? Enter: human rights charade. Aleppo is just the ticket. Russia Today (RT), the most hated of media outlets due to its enormous global popularity and its willingness to disclose the dirt hidden away by our governments, reports that eastern Aleppo doesn’t house just innocent civilians, but a whole slew of American-backed terrorists (Al Nusra) using these people as human shields. But the US does not consider going after Al-Nusra to be a priority per Admiral James Kirby aka diplomatic spokesperson. They want to go after Assad. But dang, the “bad guys” are using their lawful power in the UNSC to block the US from another war.

Ah-ha. Go to the bogus UN human rights committee, which has no veto power, and get a resolution calling what Russia is doing an “atrocity” and a “human rights catastrophe.” Outlaw any action in Aleppo, where the US can’t win, but hopes to carve out an area of operations from which to launch further actions against Assad. Hey, isn’t that what the international legal system is for? That’s what the federal legal system is for in the US.

I’m sure it’s all ho-hum by now. We have an election on hand with the choices being Dopey or the Evil Queen.

I always loved Dopey.

World War III — is your bunker ready?

Many months ago, I recall: the US-NATO engineered coup in Ukraine; the take-over of Crimea with its vitally important naval base by Moscow; and the start of WW III. In the meantime, the US has thrown in Syria and Russia has raised the bet.

At the time of the Ukrainian events, I told my eminence grise, my husband, that this was going to be very bad news for US-Russian relations. What does our country intend? Do they dare to claim they have more vital interests in Ukraine than Russia, birthed in Kiev, does?

He insisted that it would all blow over. Don’t worry.

Really, oh Master of My Universe?

Perhaps what he didn’t take into account was that the kindler, gentler USA that we of the elder generation recall from our history prior to “The Era of Permanent War” has bloated from world power to super-power to hegemon. We’re like the sweet home-town boy who went to Hollywood and morphed into an ignorant blathering egomaniac with a bloated face that shows traces of excessive drug use. When once we pitted our belief in the individual and his fundamental rights against those who were ruled by The State and sought global ideological and military leadership, did we ever suspect that, when all the sins of the Communists in the USSR were put paid, the ugly cancer would appear in our own country? Did anyone other than the left-wing mushrooms growing in the shit and darkness of our US universities imagine that one day some unseen clique would determine what we could say and believe? I sure didn’t.

And what sane person would have thought that the greatest boon to mankind, the collapse of the Soviet Union, would be for naught? Poor Russia: it looked to the US as some kind of forbidden Communist Era idol, rich and good, who would help Russia, too, escape the evils of its past. Instead the Harvard economic experts sent to help Russia’s masses concocted a system to screw the masses and enrich (themselves) and the oligarchs. Russia for a long time bowed and scraped, sure they must be mistaken and the US did not mean Russia ill. But then came the rapid expansion of NATO to Russian borders, and the insults, and needless provocations. What is one to do when confronted with an irredeemably hostile party?

I regret to say that my once high-minded nation fell into the trap of egotism and relatively easy military victories over barely defended countries. As the rest of the world oohed and aahed over the arrogant messianic US aggression and the subsequent imposition of incompetent governments and unpalatable ideologies, Americans were lulled into the idea that the world was our oyster, and if there was a pearl in there, it belonged to us. And so we bombed away and bombed at will and told the world we were making everybody safer. Lots of countries doubted or outright disbelieved that promise, but they, too had no power. And so the US rolled on. It forgot its old virtues and its old two feet solidly on the ground, and flew with its big Air Force into the skies of other countries. It killed the young and the old, the guilty and the innocent. Collateral damage and pin-point strikes. Shock and awe. All for world democracy. And peace.

But while we were preening ourselves in that false mirror of world admiration, which lasts as long as the last victory, other nations were taking stock. They saw that their cultures, and their values, and their children were at risk from the rising Hegemon. Some of them were already being punished for their recalcitrant rejection of the Hegemon’s demands, and so, already deprived, they tightened their belts and directed their treasury from material satisfaction to vital national defense. They fattened their armies and moved them into offensive position. They added to their nuclear arsenals and made their own alliances. If they were to be assaulted, it would be a fight to the end.

Our course has strayed from the virtues of humility and decency to that of a demanding, brutal dictator. Maybe I’m just a sulker, you might object, spoiled by so many years of good governance and avoidance of war. But here is what I see. A government of the USA that brays to the whole world and its diversity of nations and cultures: You don’t agree? Bombs away! You don’t agree? Send arms to terrorists to bring the war to them in their beds! May their children come home to them in body bags! Let us teach them a little lesson. By the way — those words were picked from the recent announcements from our military-industrial complex, and specifically Admiral John Kirby (surprise — the STATE DEPARTMENT spokesman) and Mr. Morell of the CIA.  Seems our State Department got lost somewhere there in the conversion from a country to a Hegemon.

This is the language of the new diplomacy, brought to you by the likes of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton and her clique of war hawks.

BREAK: FLASH TO THE US IN THE MIDST OF A CRUCIAL ELECTION

Today we heard the latest nonsense from the political scum. We learned that Trump talks dirty when he talks to show-biz folks off camera. We also heard that Hillary Clinton has enshrined her utter duplicity in the slogan “For every policy, a public and private face!” And, honestly folks, people are more aghast at Donald’s high-testosterone maleness than they are at the plain and simple fact that Hillary thinks lying to the public is a service.

So while the nukes are moved into position, the American public doesn’t say: who will keep us from this mad course? Who will turn his face from a senseless confrontation that serves only narrow political and economic interests? Who will save the lives of our children and grandchildren? Who is willing to share the globe with other powers and who wants to take us to war to gain absolute control?

Apparently our answer is: no dirty talk in the White House. Cigars in unspeakable places, yes. Dirty words, no. Corrupt and felonious women, yes. Politically incorrect males, no.

I expect that felon will be our next president, but I’m afraid it’s too late for her as far as I’m concerned. I don’t believe in the US presidency. I don’t believe in the GOP. And I sure don’t believe in a country determined to drag us all into Armageddon.
